As for exploring on your own.. of course you can! Know that this container was intentionally designed as a complete experience. The magic deepens when with the group and you allow the journey to unfold as intended. That said, if you want to rent a car and explore Maui during free time, you're absolutely welcome to and we will miss you!
Absolutely come solo or your partner! Many participants join on their own and find the solo experience deeply transformative. This journey is priced based on shared occupancy, so you'll be sharing a room with another participant. If you bring a friend or partner, you'll be placed together as roommates.

Yes! This experience is designed for all levels. Here's what to expect:
Hiking: Easy to moderate trails. No extreme fitness required, but you should be comfortable walking on uneven terrain.
Water activities: Basic swimming and snorkeling. Nothing too challenging, but you should feel comfortable in the water.
Yoga: Moderate to easy sessions. All levels welcome.
Mountain driving: We'll drive to the top of Haleakalā, and Maui's roads can be winding. If you're prone to motion sickness, consider bringing non-drowsy Dramamine, ginger (candied, tea, or capsules), or acupressure wristbands. Same goes for the boat days.
The most important thing? An open mind and willingness to receive. That's all you need.

Uber, Lyft, and taxis are available from Kahului Airport (OGG) to Hale Akua. You won't need to rent a car unless you want to explore on your own. Although this container was intentionally designed for maximum transformation with full participation throughout.

Must-haves: Reef-safe sunscreen, swimsuit, sturdy footwear (hiking shoes or sport sandals), LAYERS for varying climates, and warm clothes for Haleakalā summit (it's 30-40°F colder than the beach!).
